Unofficial Communities is a digital platform operated by Unofficial Brasil ("we", "us", "our"). We provide community-driven features including gamification systems, a 3D virtual world, and intelligent connection recommendations to foster meaningful interactions among our members.

Definitions

Platform

The Unofficial Communities website, applications, APIs, and all related services operated by Unofficial Brasil.

Member

Any individual who creates an account on the Platform and agrees to these Terms of Use.

Content

Any text, images, audio, video, data, or other materials uploaded, posted, or transmitted through the Platform by Members or by us.

XP (Experience Points)

Virtual points earned through engagement activities on the Platform as part of the gamification system. XP has no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for currency.

Subscription

A recurring paid plan that grants access to premium features of the Platform, billed on a monthly cycle.

Eligibility

Minimum age: 18 years old

You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Platform. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. We reserve the right to request age verification at any time and to terminate accounts that do not meet this requirement.

You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction.

Our Services

The Platform provides the following core features:

UC World

A 3D virtual world built with Three.js and Colyseus where Members can explore environments, interact with other community members in real time, and participate in virtual events.

Living Graph

An intelligent visualization and recommendation engine that maps community connections, suggests relevant interactions, and helps Members discover meaningful relationships within the community.

We strive to maintain Platform availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature with reasonable notice.

Your Account

Accurate Information

You agree to provide truthful, accurate, and complete information when creating your account and to keep this information up to date. Providing false or misleading information is grounds for account termination.

Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
You must notify us immediately at contato@unofficialbrasil.com.br if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
We recommend using a strong, unique password and enabling any available two-factor authentication.

Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or remain inactive for an extended period. You may also request account deletion at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately.

Subscription Plans and Billing

Free Trial

New Members may be eligible for a 7-day free trial of premium features. No credit card is required to start the trial. At the end of the trial, you may choose to subscribe or continue with free-tier access.

Monthly Subscription

Paid subscriptions are billed on a monthly recurring basis. The subscription automatically renews each month unless cancelled before the renewal date. Prices are displayed in your local currency where available and include applicable taxes.

Acceptable Use

✓You may:

Use the Platform for its intended purpose of community engagement and networking.
Share content that is relevant, respectful, and lawful.
Participate in gamification features, UC World events, and community activities.
Provide constructive feedback to help improve the Platform.

✕You may not:

Use the Platform if you are under 18 years of age.
Harass, bully, threaten, or intimidate other Members.
Post content that is illegal, defamatory, obscene, hateful, or discriminatory.
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform, other accounts, or our systems.
Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Platform without our written consent.
Exploit gamification systems through fraudulent activity, manipulation, or abuse.
Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely represent your affiliation with any person or entity.
Distribute spam, malware, or any other harmful or disruptive content.

Violations of this Acceptable Use policy may result in content removal, account suspension, permanent ban, and/or legal action at our sole discretion.

Intellectual Property

Our Content

All Platform content, features, functionality, design, branding, logos, and code are owned by Unofficial Brasil and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

Your Content

You retain ownership of content you create and share on the Platform. By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content in connection with operating and improving the Platform. You may revoke this license by deleting your content or your account.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Unofficial Brasil shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Legal Provisions

Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. We comply with the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD — Lei 13.709/2018), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), as applicable based on your location. LGPD Compliance

As a platform operated from Brazil, we are subject to the LGPD. We process personal data based on legitimate legal bases, respect data subject rights, and maintain a Data Protection Officer (DPO) contactable at contato@unofficialbrasil.com.br.

Modifications to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the Platform at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Platform after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with any changes, you must stop using the Platform and may request account deletion.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

Brazilian Users

For users located in Brazil, these Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be submitted to the courts of the city of Sao Paulo, State of Sao Paulo, Brazil, with the exclusion of any other jurisdiction, however privileged it may be. Consumer protection rights under the Brazilian Consumer Defense Code (CDC — Lei 8.078/1990) are fully preserved.

EU/EEA Users

For users located in the European Union or European Economic Area, nothing in these Terms affects your rights under mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence. You may bring legal proceedings in the courts of your country of residence. You may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. The application of the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods is excluded.

United States Users

For users located in the United States, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms that cannot be resolved through informal negotiation within 30 days shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitration shall take place in a mutually agreed location or remotely. Class action waivers apply to the fullest extent permitted by law. Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction. California users retain all rights under the CCPA/CPRA.

All Other Users

For users in all other jurisdictions, these Terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. Disputes shall be submitted to the courts of Sao Paulo, Brazil, unless mandatory local laws require otherwise.
